The Venture Rapid Cannon is a grade 3 Weapon block manufactured by Venture. Like all Venture blocks, it can be crafted with a Venture Fabricator.
It has 1 attachment point(s) and takes up 9 cell(s).
It is highly explosive when destroyed.
Usage[]
A fast-firing heavy weapon, it is quite versatile. No DPS is lost as it fires twice as fast with half the damage of a Megaton, with a slight improvement in rotate speed. It does takes more room to deploy, but it's much lighter. The biggest change, however, is the increased projectile range, allowing the shots to hit enemies farther away. While not as popular as the Megaton, due to the latter's ability to fire over a one-cell tall block and is more compact, it won't be an ideal weapon for a speedy racer. In a single unit and for it's firepower, the size is still worth it. For light vehicles, just one turret and some tight moves can already ravage most of the enemies in-game. Of course, it's not sturdy, so keep it protected well and most importantly, avoid being hit, as to minimize the drain on shields.
One noteworthy aspect is that it is easier to craft than most heavier weapons - It does not require an exotic component. This means it can be produced more easily.
But if you are planning to use something heavier. Something that stands up to great punishment, then it would be wise not to use it, but rather, bring out the heavier beasts. Cruise Missiles, Big Berthas, Naval Guns......The choice is yours.

- The design of the rapid cannon resembles an AA gun.
- When fired, the barrels take turns to operate, and when the weapon launches a shell it is visibly ejected as the barrel recoils significantly.
- It is the fastest-firing non-homing explosive weapon in the entire game.
