Description
Your standard Venture cab. Comes with orange windscreen.

Building upon his earlier successes with the Venture bracket system, Prof. Ruin of the Idont Institut tackled a much more complex project when he was approached again by Venture to devise an all-terrain Cab that could operate independently at high speeds under testing conditions. Prof. Ruin's POD Cab was a roaring success. The nippy little thing handles dunes and mountains with ease and is fast enough to make a quick exit when needed. It also comes equipped with a built-in PIP rifle, the little brother of the popular Venture Hail Fire. Ruin also had plans to include built-in missile launchers and a radar, but alas, they proved too expensive for the Venture brief. Ruin's next project for Venture is still a closely guarded secret, although insider reports have revealed that the project's codename is "The Tower".

The Venture Cruz Cab is a grade 1 control block manufactured by Venture. Like all Venture blocks, it can be crafted with a Venture Fabricator.

It has 2 attachment point(s) and takes up 1 cell(s).

Usage[]

This control block is unique in it's light weight and a built-in speedometer, negating the need for the player to install another one. It is also the fastest cab avaliable, though it's not of a great concern as control blocks are ineffective without the support of other blocks. Overall, it's good for building most techs and should be used in a similar fashion to the GSO Cosmonaut SAP Cab, but with less attachment points to boot.

Despite the design, players should not put it at locations where it would be susceptible to damage, especially when it's the only player control block on a combat tech; unless they're sure that this block won't take damage. If one is designing a simple tech with no exposed control blocks, the GSO Cosmonaut SAP Cab would serve a lot better, as the lack of a speedometer will not matter anyway.

Like all cabs when it explodes it only pushes blocks away, dealing no damage

Trivia[]

  • The Venture Cruz Cab was formerly named "Venture POD Cab".
  • The design is similar to a real-life F1 racer, consistent with Venture's overall theme as a racing corporation. It also vaguely resembles a motorcycle helmet.
  • It is the first control block that comes with an accessory, which is a speedometer.
    • Ironically, Venture also manufactures it's own brand of speedometer, even though having this cab defeats its purpose entirely. The same inconsistency occurs with Hawkeye, as they manufacture control blocks with integrated radars, despite the existence of the Hawkeye Pointer Radar. (edit: its called capitalism, they want to get their brand to expand by selling to techs from other corporations)
