Description |
The GeoCorp TB Thresher combines a flail/grinder with a collector. It's a great tool for harvesting and collecting resources all in one combined block. The original prototype for this block was developed by Mr T. Bear, although his blueprint was for a much smaller GSO model. GeoCorp saw the potential and took the project on, beefing the unit up significantly and got it to market first. |
The GeoCorp TB Thresher is a grade 2 weapon block manufactured by GeoCorp. Like all GeoCorp blocks, it can be crafted with a GeoCorp Fabricator.
It has 32 attachment point(s) and takes up 96 cell(s).
Usage[]
The TB Thresher is a weapon block with an integrated GeoCorp Picker Collector. The thresher itself is effective on its own due to the length of the flail itself. The integrated collector, however, only works as extra gravy. It is also quite cumbersome, so it would not work well later on. It is recommended to attach specialized collectors instead of many TB Threshers. Usually, a more effective combination would be smaller drills/plasma cutters with collectors instead.
When the fire button is held down, the flail will swing slowly while activating. If not, it will simply grind on contact with an enemy. As with all GeoCorp weapons, it works wonders in melee range, but may not survive prolonged combat due to its sheer size.
Trivia[]
- As with the picker collector, GeoCorp collectors hold the highest capacities of every single collector in the entire game, having least 1.5 times more capacity per beam than collectors from any other corporation. In fact, they only lose to the silos in terms of carrying density.
- It is the only weapon block to have features from a collector.
- The design of this block resembles a combine harvester, which also matches with the definition of "thresher".
- According to the description, it was originally a GSO block, but never reached completion before GeoCorp stole the design and forged the block that is seen today.
