The GeoCorp Heavy Auto Miner is a grade 2 Manufacturing block manufactured by GeoCorp. Like all GeoCorp blocks, it can be crafted with a GeoCorp Fabricator.

Usage[]
With slightly over triple speed compared to its GSO counterpart (1 chunk per 9 seconds instead of 30), the GeoCorp Heavy Auto Miner is a powerful asset for excavating resource seams. Its raw power effectively voids difficult terrain and paralysis glitches otherwise common to clumps of its smaller counterparts.
Note that its production rate remains constant even if the player goes outside of rendering distance and returns later.
Due to its defenseless nature, players are advised to support it with weapons and AI modules for additional defense.
Trivia[]
- The description implies that the Heavy Auto Miner has undergone testing, development, or was fielded on a limited scale before its public release.
- It resembles an average modern day ground-based oil drill, commonly referred to as a "nodding donkey" design. Appropriately, it can extract Oleite, the game's equivalent for Petroleum.
- It is not affected by the GSO Pacemaker.
- Unlike its smaller counterpart, its ore meter is linear, rather than a rotary needle. This is a purely visual change.
- This block is now available in co-op campaign.
- Whenever it produces a resource chunk, it produces an output chime.
- 4 GSO auto miners are technically faster (7.5 seconds per ore) although may be tougher to build, especially on tricky terrain
