Description
The GeoCorp Buzz Saw is mainly used for cutting trees in half. The Excavator is the next step up in the series. This tool is mainly used for cutting planets in half. Yes. That's right. A planet! Oh look! You can plug it in with a regular household plug too. You don't need one of those special power tool ones, that's handy.

The GeoCorp Excavator is a grade 3 Weapon block manufactured by GeoCorp. Like all GeoCorp blocks, it can be crafted with a GeoCorp Fabricator.

It has 8 attachment point(s) and takes up 48 cell(s).

Usage[]

The GeoCorp excavator is a much more powerful variant than the Buzz Saw. It's massive size allows a longer reach and area of effect. This may be a problem as other areas on the tech can't be covered properly by other weapons, but nevertheless one can install other blocks to compensate. It's a cutting weapon, so it may not do well against rocks, but it's range allows trees to be easily harvested. Additionally, it hurts just as much when pitted against another tech at point-blank range. Surely this won't stand up to enemy fire and isn't really versatile, but from any other direction it will tear things apart quickly.

It will spin up for a second when the player is using it, before the weapon starts to deal actual damage, and when the trigger is released, it will take another second to stop entirely.

Trivia[]

  • The description implies that it is an improved version of the GeoCorp Buzz Saw, and doesn't require a lot of power to function, despite the size.
    • However, it does not consume any energy at all, and cannot affect the game's terrain, like all other blocks.
  • This block may be a reference to real-life excavator blades that are used to dig up/break open and throw away dirt and rocks. A classic example would be Bucket-Wheel Excavators, which were, as implied by the description, used in large-scale mining operations.
