The GeoCorp Cerberus-Head Light Bore is a grade 3 Weapon block manufactured by GeoCorp. Like all GeoCorp blocks, it can be crafted with a GeoCorp Fabricator.
It has 4 attachment point(s) and takes up 22 cell(s).
Usage[]
Despite the low rarity designation due to how frequently it is found and used on enemy techs, this block has some of the best statistics amongst most other drills. It boasts high great raw damage, on top of already grinding on contact with enemies, allowing it to break rocks, trees, and even other blocks off other techs with terrifying ease. This makes it a good weapon to mount as a defensive, rivaling even the Angled Jackhammers in terms of defense.
The main disadvantage is a strange hit box due to the shape of the drill, which may cause some construction and compatibility problems, as it takes 22 cells while smaller drills take almost as half much. It's rather easy to bump into terrain and damage this block when driving. Nevertheless, the bore's better performance means that a smaller quantity of them would be required. It certainly does help that despite being difficult to produce, this weapon is often easily salvaged from enemy GeoCorp grade 3 techs in campaign, making it that much easier to sustain.
Trivia[]
- Cerberus is a three-headed watchdog in Greek Myth that defends a gate in the underworld, which is referenced by the fact that this drill has three heads.
