The GeoCorp Buzz Saw is a grade 2 Weapon block manufactured by GeoCorp. Like all GeoCorp blocks, it can be crafted with a GeoCorp Fabricator.
It has 2 attachment point(s) and takes up 6 cell(s).
Usage[]
As the description implies, the Buzz Saw is great against trees. But that's usually the end of it's advantage. Though having a slightly longer reach than drills, it's outclassed by both them and plasma cutters, as both of them can deal with rocks and trees easily at a slight increment to cell count. Also unlike them, it deals significantly less damage, thus restricting it's purpose to logging only.
Trivia[]
- The GeoCorp Buzz Saw was mentioned in the description of the GeoCorp Excavator, where it's stated that the latter is an upgrade from the former.
- This implied that either this model had significant commercial success or it's abilities were underwhelming, both being possibilities that prompted future development.
- It and the GeoCorp Excavator are the only two cutting weapon blocks in the entire game.
- Saw Blades usually take damage when cutting rocks in real life. This does not apply to the buzz saw nor it's larger kin, however.
