(Legacy image)

The GSO Trading Station, presumably operated by it's namesake corporation, is a vital structure and a core aspect of TerraTech gameplay. They appear roughly at each thousand feet on each axis of the map's coordinates.

General[]

Access[]

  • Singleplayer trading stations are locked until after the Trader Troll has been defeated.
  • Multiplayer trading stations are accessible by default.

Mission Board[]

  • Each trading has a mission board, accessible on the top of the station via a right-click on the blue banner and it's from there could one access them.
  • Missions assigned are scaled according to the licenses the player has access to and each will usually have up to ten missions available, though more may not appear unless the first few ones are taken. If not accepted, they will refresh daily.
  • Different trading stations at different locations may offer different missions within their vicinity. But they can generally appear everywhere.
    • Certain unique missions such as Crowntop Hill Fort can only be accepted once (cannot be cancelled nor failed), after which they will never appear again but can show up on any trading station beforehand, as long as it is not taken.

Delivery Cannon[]

  • In singleplayer, there a resource receiver that automatically collects loose resources around and sells them. It also grabs those from the player's tech, if they were on a collector. It can only hold a limited amount of resources but will free up space as it slowly sells them.
  • In multiplayer, the trading station is additionally able to sell blocks at a third of their purchase value.

Shop[]

  • The stock of the trading station is randomized at each station. They refresh daily.
  • Certain basic blocks have unlimited amounts stock and most others with a limited one. The blocks sold are relevant to whether if the player has discovered them or not, though they are not available all the time. Stock varies with each station.
    • In multiplayer, excluded blocks will not appear in the trading station.
  • Block prices are consistent with payload terminals.

Miscellaneous[]

  • Singleplayer trading Stations gain SCUs after Turret Defence has been completed. Unlike other NPC SCUs, it adds blocks to the player's own inventory.
  • All trading stations are equipped with wireless chargers and a world map feature.

Trivia[]

Delivery Cannon Breach

  • The GSO Trading Station is actually a block, and to an extension, an individual, anchored tech with hidden attachment points. However, this can only be seen via hacking the game, snapshotting a tech with the station on it, then loading it in the R&D Chamber or Creative Mode.
  • It has been suggested by the game itself that Trading Stations are invincible and usable by all prospectors. While the former is true and also applies to several NPCs, the latter is false, as the trader troll can deny access to it, and NPC techs do not make use of it at all. This is likely subject to change in a future update.
  • It's design has went through several iterations as the game was developing, and is still constantly changing.
  • It is unknown why other corporations have no trading stations of their own as it was evident that other corporations operate without the interference of GSO in most cases.
  • They are marked on the mini-map with a BB icon.
  • In creative mode, the mission board of trading stations, while accessible, will say that missions are unavailable. The shop terminal is still available since the money mechanic still exists, but is useless, as the player has an infinite stock of blocks at their disposal.
  • In RnD Labs, trading stations' mission boards are not interactive, so as the shop terminal - attempting to use it will cause the game to say "unavailable".
    • The same thing will happen at the start of the singleplayer campaign if the player attempts to access the mission board before the trader troll spawns.

Version History[]

  • 1.4.7: Added Power and wireless charging to trading stations.
