Description
Attach this block to a manufacturing base to let you slow down or speed up its rate of production.

The GSO Pacemaker is a grade 3 Manufacturing block manufactured by GSO. Like all GSO blocks, it can be crafted with a GSO Fabricator.

It has 5 attachment point(s) and takes up 1 cell(s).

Usage[]

A short video demonstrating the affects of using a pacemaker.

The Pacemaker is an invaluable asset to all manufacturing bases due to it's ability to greatly accelerate manufacturing and crafting. It is compatible with blocks from other corporations as well, meaning only one is needed to enhance the production of a base.

It has an orbital menu which is accessed by right-clicking. The options include:

  • Pause (stops all actions)
  • Slow Motion (4 s per tick, 1/4 of the normal speed)
  • Normal Speed (1 s per tick)
  • Turbo Speed (0.25 s per tick, 4 times of the normal speed, or 16 times that of slow motion)

A single pacemaker will take effect on all blocks attached to a tech, most being manufacturing blocks. Adding more pacemakers will not stack the effects, but will offer more points of access to it's control options. If a block has a delay, then it will be kept, but the duration is also affected (Marked with Bold). Affected blocks include:

  • Fabricators
  • Scrappers
  • Conveyors
  • Component Factories
  • Refineries
  • Delivery Cannons
  • Filters
  • Alternator Conveyors

Trivia[]

  • Receivers and Droppers are excluded from it's influence.
  • Accelerating certain blocks' processes may lead to inconsistent animations, causing a few frames to be skipped. This is most evident on Refineries and Delivery Cannons, but has no impact on gameplay.
  • The Pacemaker's functionality derives from its real-life counterpart, where it is used to balance heart rates via electrical shock.
