The GSO Large Hover Pad is a grade 5 Flight block manufactured by GSO. Like all GSO blocks, it can be crafted with a GSO Fabricator.
It has 12 attachment point(s) and takes up 8 cell(s).
Uses[]
The GSO Large Hover Pad is certainly a much more useful hover block than the GSO Terraphobe Hover Plate, as it stays much higher off the ground, though it does have about the same lifting power per cell count, causing it to lose most of that float height under significant load. This increased float height does come at a slightly higher crafting cost, but it is certainly worth it. Compared to its smaller counterpart, it also has many more APs per cell count, making it much more versatile when it comes to placement of the block, allowing more variety in the hovers created with it.
For larger hover techs, many will still be needed, and it would most likely be a better idea to use other corporation's hover plates (such as the GeoCorp Powerlifter Hover); however the GSO Large Hover Pad still makes a solid standing for keeping medium hover techs in the air, or to reduce the load on the wheels of larger techs. Like all hover pads, it does possess internal steering, but most likely requires the assistance of other flight blocks.
Another strategy is to place 4 inverted GSO Hub Wheels below it. This greatly escalates the potential of lift generated at the cost of only 8 cells. However, a Better Future Hover Controller is required to limit its excessive force.
Overall, the GSO Large Hover Pad is a good medium hover pad, with great versatility for many different use cases.

- The GSO Large Hover Pad is exceptionally close to being a miniature version of the Hawkeye Flying Fortress Hover Pad. Both have 4 jets and APs distributed on the sides as well as the top.
- It is the largest hover pad made by GSO.
- Despite the description saying that it is "from the future", GSO is the oldest corp in TT.
- It has some of the most extreme thrust vectoring of all hover pads.
