Description |
An essential component to be able to assign specific roles for Techs in the fleet.
Jeremy Champion has become a controversial figure in the field of A.I. development and automation. After the Third Singularity War, sanctions were finally put in place to ban the development of sentient synthetics. However, the market demands that a drone be smarter and more helpful than its predecessors and so Champion - Development Manager of Magneto Robotics, has darted back and forth over the line of brilliance and recklessness in his pursuit of a smarter A.I. Some call him a pioneer of the craft, as one of the forefront of creators who are willing to push things forward and others question his policy of testing dangerously autonomous units in the lawless frontiers of off-world mining colonies. |
The GSO Gruntle Guard AI Module is a Grade 3 Control block manufactured by GSO. Like all GSO Blocks, it can be crafted with a GSO Fabricator.
It has 4 attachment points.
Usage[]
The Gruntle Guard AI Module is the most basic of all AIs. This is suited for a Mobile Tech only, and due to it's weak mounted weapon, it is very likely, if not mandatory, that all Techs made with this block must have a lot of extra weapons to compensate. There's nothing too special. Just something to get yourself guarded, and to distract the enemies when you cannot fight them.
Like all cabs when it explodes it only pushes blocks away, dealing no damage
Trivia[]
- This block is relatively common, as it is almost always seen on the passive techs encountered in protection missions. As they become allied to the player after the mission is successfully completed one can detach it from the tech and add it to their tech, or send the entire tech's blocks to the inventory.
- Despite the description, TerraTech does not have any AI that allows specific roles to be assigned to an allied tech. Also, as of V1.3.3 they cannot fly aircraft and will only control it like a car.
- However, it is possible for a Gruntle Guard AI to act as a mounted turret Tech by putting it on a Rotating Anchor, connecting the bottom of the cab with it, serving the same purpose as a GSO Anchored AI Module.
- It is one of the two GSO AI control blocks, the other being the GSO Anchored AI Module.
- The word Gruntle might be a reference to the word "Grunt", an informal nickname for soldiers.
