The GSO Conveyor is a grade 2 Manufacturing block manufactured by GSO. Like all GSO blocks, it can be crafted with a GSO Fabricator.
It has 5 attachment point(s) and takes up 1 cell(s).
Conveyor[]
Conveyors are used to move chunks around Techs to feed appliances and fill silos. When multiple conveyors are placed next to each other, they choose a direction and form a chain. Chains are easy to notice because of the animated texture conveyors in a chain adopt. It is not necessary for all conveyors in a chain to be from the same corporation. The direction of a conveyor chain can be inverted by pressing and holding right-click. They are one of the most useful items in terra tech.
If a chunk is on a conveyor that is part of a chain, it will follow the direction of the chain by being passed along to the next conveyor in the chain. Conveyor chains can be looped to allow chunks to circle back. Alternatively, they can be not looped in which case chunks will pass along and stop when they reach the last conveyor, unless they are pulled off by something when they reach the end. If one such conveyor chain points into another conveyor chain, it will inject any chunks into the new chain.
If a chunk is on a conveyor that is not part of a chain, the chunk will remain on the conveyor unless it is pulled off by something.
Conveyors can form chains in many unintuitive ways with many twists, contortions and gnarls.
While conveyors can be used on moving techs they will start losing items at the speed above 110 mph.

Conveyors pull from[]
- Nothing
Conveyors will receive from[]
- Refineries
- Scrappers
- Filters
- Alternators
- Silos (if a crafting appliance along its chain requires a chunk from that silo.)
- Receivers
- The last conveyor in its chain.
Conveyors push to[]
- Nothing
- Storage locations
- End of the conveyor line
Conveyors' output can by pulled by[]
- Silos (unless a crafting appliance along its chain requires a chunk it carries.)
- Fabricators (only if the fabricator requires the chunk a conveyor carries.)
- Refineries (except for when a fabricator requires the chunk it carries to be unrefined.)
- Component Factories (only if the factory requires the chunk a conveyor carries.)
- Delivery Cannons
- Filters
- Alternators
- Droppers
Conveyors can only hold one chunk at a time. They will not accept any more until their chunk can be sent somewhere else, which allows another to be admitted.
-
Conveyors in a looped chain. Notice the GSO Resource Receiver which inputs chunks into the chain and the GSO Mobile Furnace Generator which pulls fuel chunks out and burns them.
-
An example of how mixing different conveyors will still form chains.
-
A chain leading into a different looped chain. Notice how this technique is also applied beside the refinery to allow it to refine all resources the base admits. Credit to ZeroGravitas for discovering this workaround to the refinery's throttled output.
-
An example of how flexible conveyors can be. All conveyors shown in the image form one chain which can carry a chunk around in a complete loop.
Lore[]
Professor Le' Rouge (P.A.N da) was the original inventor of the conveyor technology for the Nosey Construction Company used in many automated off-world strip mining operations. After seeing the mass deforestation that his creations had indirectly enabled, he was distraught. In that moment he renounced his earlier career. He now spends all his time as an eco activist - spreading awareness of the plight of the red pandas (for which he has a particular love) that have been displaced by the relentless destruction of off-world mining programs.
