ControlBlocks

Control Blocks are the heart of the tech. Depending on the type, they are either player or AI controlled. They are also known as "cabs".

Weapons tend to target cabs, and when all of the cabs on a tech are destroyed, the tech falls apart or explodes, and then is considered "dead". This applies to all techs, no matter if it is a enemy, player, or even an AI. As such it is recommended to protect the cab, and to have multiple, redundant cabs on the same chassis.

If a group of regular blocks lose their connection to the cab, they disconnect each other too.

Player Controlled Cabs[ | ]

These cabs are used when you want to control the tech yourself. Each corporation has its own unique cab. Most cabs "transform" when not attached to any blocks to have independent mobility and/or gun.

AI Cabs[ | ]

These cabs are used for creation of AI-controlled allied techs. Currently the options for AI-controlled techs are quite limited, but another option is coming soon, which may be a mining command. The current options are: Defend and Idle.

  • AI techs that are set on Defend will follow your tech and attack any nearby hostile techs. The tech will only follow you if it is mobile, and if it is anchored to a moving anchor it will just try to point to you.
  • AI techs set on Idle will be effectively inert and passive.
