Description
Usually used in conjunction with other directional shield blocks to create a protective barrier exactly where you need it. This shield projector provides your Tech with excellent directional focused defences at a moderate passive power consumption rate. This one is twice as long as the standard flat shield.

The Better Future long Flat shield is a power block. Once powered up, this shield will protect you from enemy attack as long as you have the energy to power it. This shield only points straight ahead at all times leaving you venerable in other directions.

Functionality

This shield has a projection of 4 blocks and a width of 10 ,but a height of only 5 blocks

The shield will protect the blocks behind from being hit by any enemy fire. Thus Shield is quite energy-economical and can be used to protect particularly hard to shield areas, however nature of the projection renders it particularly vulnerable angled attacks like mortars.

The shield takes an initial power load to start up, then drains power gradually as it is up. It will drain more power when the shield is attacked.

Explosions pass though shields ,completely ignoring them ,the only way to reduce explosion damage is to increase the distance between the impact point of the explosive and the craft ,making bigger shields more useful against explosions

the shields efficiency is lower then the Better Future Flat Shield both in terms on energy/min and energy/damage ,so when possible ,use the smaller version
