Description
A very powerful persistent beam Laser Cannon that can aim in a full 360 degree circle. This weapon will continuously burn away at its target with pin point focus.

The Better Future Cyber Disc Laser is a grade 3 Weapon block manufactured by Better Future. Like all Better Future blocks, it can be crafted with a Better Future Fabricator.

Usage

This is perhaps one of the deadliest Better Future weapons avaliable. Although it's still an energy weapon, meaning that shields stop it outright, it will burn through blocks with great intensity thanks to it's high DPS. It's a great improvement over it's smaller counterpart as while it trades attachment points and occupies more than twice the space for just double the damage, these disadvantages are ultimately ignorable. Surely it's much harder to stack them without special preparations and they must be placed properly, but just a few would be complete devastation to any tech.

The beam's range is quite significant, though not as far as most ballistic weapons, and the slower turn rate will cause it to fruitlessly drag behind a fast target unless the player compensates the aim by turning their tech as well. The beam's short travel time should also be taken into account when in use, as they are not hit-scan attacks.

One advantage is that, like the FS Laser and every other weapon block in the game, it aims at the cab but since it has perfect accuracy, it will only destroy a few blocks before eliminating the cab. It also does not inflict splash damage on its own, so as long as a volatile block doesn't go off, you'd get to salvage most of what a tech's made of.

Like plasma cutters, it also doubles as a great long-range alternative to them, as it does enough damage to easily mow down trees. It may prove difficult aiming at rocks, where drills and jackhammers are preferred instead.

Trivia

• Like the FS Laser, it has a lightly carved arrow on the top of this disc, which signifies the default direction it is aiming at. When rotating, only the beam would turn.
• Unlike many BF weapon blocks, it does not have any integrated streamlined accessory as the only non-streamlined part is the attachment point, which is easily concealed when mounted anywhere on a tech.
• Like the FS Laser and various plasma cutters, the beam will take a short time before it reaches maximum range, and will gradually disappear (at a rapid pace) after the weapon's usage has ceased.
• Despite seemingly incapable of such, the Cyber Disk Laser has limited elevation and depression, but lacks animations for it.
• The name and aesthetics of the block makes it seem like it's a reference to the Cyberdisk enemy from the XCOM games.
