Attachment points (referred to by the acronym AP on some wiki pages) are places on blocks where it can be connected to other blocks.
Some blocks have few, like the GSO SOS Searchlight with only one. Others have many like the GeoCorp 'The Big One' Block with 64.
Shown here is an example of an attachment point on the GSO One Block. As you can see, they look like a four pointed star spaced one block apart and on each surface area unit of the block.
